Kathmandu 2010 July5: The budget session of the legislature
parliament is convening at 3pm today as summoned by President Dr. Ram Baran
Yadav.
Speaker Subash Chandra Nemwang will read out a letter from
the President at the first meeting of the budget session in the CA building in
New Baneshwor, spokesperson of the parliament secretariat Mukunda Sharma
informed nepalaustralianews.com.
In normal circumstances, the government presents its annual
programmes and polices and a budget for the next fiscal year during the budget
session.
However, after the resignation
of PM Madhav Kumar Nepal the government is operating in capacity of a caretaker
government, it will just present an advance budget on July 9, this time.
The major political parties have agreed, the new government
will present the annual programmes and polices, and the budget for the next
fiscal year 2067/68 Bikram era. They have given consent to present the advance
budget to the caretaker government. The government has prepared an advance
budget of Rs 110 billion.
