Bara 2010 July 17: A socket bomb exploded in a busy
market in Kalaiya. The bomb was explode
in district headquarters of Bara around 6 p.m. on Saturday. Exploded bomb left injuring
more than a dozen people here today.
Police source of Bara said that Manaki Thakur (60)
from Kalaiya-12 and Laxmi Devi Mishra from Kalaiya-4 are in a critical
condition. They are being rushed to Birgunj for further treatment.
The other injured are being identified as Anamika Das, daughter of Manoj
Kumar Das of Kalaiya-6; Lalmati Devi and Ram Babu Gosain, both residents of
Kalaiya-5; Sabina Khatun (10) of Kalaiya-3; Jagadish Shah(26) of Hatuda VDC-4;
Binod Mani Mandal of Pustoka-6; and Sonalal Ram and Indrasani Devi of Putoka-4.
Earlier, the injured were rushed to the Kalaiya
Hospital for treatment. Police have cordoned off the incident site and
initiated the investigation. The motive behind the explosion had not been known .
No one has taken the responsibility for the blast as yet.
