Kathmandu 2010 July 18: With an aim to conclude the constitution drafting process by mid-April 2011, the Constituent Assembly (CA) on Sunday unanimously passed the CA calendar of events.

The CA meeting had begun two hours late than the scheduled time at 5pm in the evening. The Madhes based parties had strongly protested against the unilateral decision of the three major parties to constitute SRC, saying that the constitutional body has little significance.

As per the new CA timetable, the first draft of the new constitution will be finalized by mid-October and the constitution writing will be finished by mid-April.
